Use BlobForge Offline — Install as an App
BlobForge is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you can install it on your device and use it to generate files, even when you have no internet connection.
What is a PWA?
A Progressive Web App is a standard website built with modern web technologies that looks and behaves like a native application. It installs directly from your browser, taking up almost no storage space, and works completely offline.
Why BlobForge Works Offline
Unlike other file generators that send your requests to a remote server, BlobForge runs entirely within your browser using Web Workers. Since we never upload or process your data externally, all generation algorithms live inside the PWA on your device. Once installed, it doesn't need a single network request to generate gigabytes of test data.
How to Install
Mac / Safari
- Load BlobForge.io in Safari
- Click the Share button at the top
- Select Add to Dock
Windows / Chrome / Edge
- Load BlobForge.io in Chrome or Edge
- Look for the Install icon ⊕ in the URL bar
- Or click browser menu (⋮) → Install BlobForge
iPhone / iPad (iOS)
- Load BlobForge.io in Safari
- Tap the Share button at the bottom
- Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen
Android
- Load BlobForge.io in Chrome
- Tap the Install Banner at the bottom
- Or click menu (⋮) → Add to Home screen
